JANUARY 23 MEETING
Demo by Artist TANIA KIRK
Recently while in the UK visiting family, I realized how crafty people had become since I had moved away, and how much more people were crafting and building small companies selling what they were making!   Something else I noticed, sadly due to what is going on in the world, is how many people were crafting solo and were missing human contact and other crafty PEOPLE!    After my return to my husband and children in Huntsville, Texas, I was approached by my friend and now business partner, Nancy Smith of A1 Smith Septic about teaching pottery classes.   Having gone to school in Swansea, Wales UK and learned how to become an Industrial Ceramist, I was totally hooked as a potter.  I also had my own pottery in my backyard where I spent hours making pottery.  When Nancy asked me to teach some classes, I quickly went home and poured all that was in my heart into a business plan and The Feathered Nest became a reality!  We can’t wait to meet you and share our love for clay and arts and crafts!
